Cloudflare Email Routing -- why are some messages being dropped?

What is the name of the domain?

What is the issue you’re encountering

1% of emails are dropped

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Googled to figure out what causes drops. Came up with nothing.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Look at the dashboard. Notice that the number of drops is more than zero.

  1. Do you have any Email Workers, that may be processing any of your messages?

  2. Is the exact same “Custom address” also having messages, with the result “Forwarded”?

  1. No. No email workers whatsoever.
  2. Yes.

I haven’t seen more drops, but now my stats include 5 mysterious messages with “Other” status.
