Hello! My server automatically updates the certificate and reboots nginx once a week. But in the browser I see the old certificate. How can I configure cloudflare so that it promptly transfers the new certificate to the browser?
Are you sure you are seeing your old certificate? If your DNS record is proxied, you will be seeing the Cloudflare Universal SSL certificate in the browser. This certificate will be renewed automatically by Cloudflare around 30 days before expiry.
Using your own certificate on the Cloudflare edge requires a Business or Enterprise plan.
If your DNS record is not proxied, then clients will see the certificate as installed on your origin. Any problems with the certificate in that case you will need to fix on your server.
You mean that my weekly renewed certificate is valid from my server to CF, and from CF to the browser there is a CF certificate that is renewed on its own schedule? This is a surprising thought for me, but it explains everything. Thank you! Have a nice day!
