Not sure exactly the issue. Are you trying to add a domain ownership verification record to your DNS record?
Correct! Sorry for the confusion
Squarespace’s documentation says: “Ensure that your CNAME and A records aren’t using a Cloudflare proxy. The proxy status can interfere with the connection.”
So just go to your Cloudflare DNS page and turn off the Cloudflare proxy for the hostnames in question (ie change Proxy Status from Proxied
→ to DNS Only
).
