Cloudflare DNS and transferring domains

Our new parent company uses Markmonitor for global domain registration, and we currently have domains on other registrars (GoDaddy, Namecheap) that use Cloudflare DNS. The plan is to transfer all these domains to Markmonitor while retaining Cloudflare DNS. Is there any possible impact to our service that we should be concerned about in this scenario?

Many thanks

Hi @martin.hill,

I don’t see any problems as long as you make sure name servers (and DNSSEC records, if applicable) are properly imported by Markmonitor :slightly_smiling_face:

Provided all they do is a change of registrar, should be no real change.

If they import the DNS records and change the DNS hosting things will start to go pear shaped, up to and including Cloudflare deleting the domain from their systems. This might not be immediately apparent, but if you move the NS records away from Cloudflare they will eventually delete the domain as it will be inactive.
