When I type 1.1.1.1/help it says I connect to EWR which is New Jersey and I am 7 hours away. I am 1 be away from Buffalo so why am I being direct it to EWR and not to BUF?
Some datacenters are smaller than others or may be experiencing heavy load, so CF will often defer low-traffic and free plan websites to less congested datacenters.
Can you see if you get BUF for anything by visiting https://Cloudflare-test.judge.sh?

DNS is just an address book. Your Uber driver (or ISP) might pick a more roundabout route to where you want to go.
Since 1.1.1.1 is just an address book, you’ll get the address (VERY quickly!), but it’s not going to make the rest of the trip go any faster.
Thanks

This was answered before. If you have latency issues, you need to ask your ISP.
