I have activated Cloudflare’s caching system on my WordPress website. However, since then, my Adsense CTR has declined by 30%, while my page views have increased by 6% on the period.
I didn’t make any changes to my website layout that could explain this drop. The only recently change made was setting up Cloudflare’s cache via the page rules section:
It’s hard to troubleshot this kind issue, as there could be so many ways your ads system is configured, but I’d start by replacing the Cache Everything Page Rule with a Cache Rule for your front-end pages, with different settings for 302 redirects (something Page Rules can’t do.)
Typically AdSense ads will have their own JS files out of their origin, and they are not handled by Cloudflare. But if your system is set up in a way where your origin has some ad-related JS files, you may also need to create Cache Rule with bypass option for them.
