Cloudflare cannot mitigate a DDoS attack

My site was ddosed from france with 103,000 Requests and the bandwidth got completely screwed for this month.

DDOS attacked despite using cloudflare

In general on lower plans, Cloudflare only provides tools to protect against layer 7 DDoS. IP reputation only does so much, if you are a high enough value target to get hit with completely fresh and good-standing IPs, CF can’t help. If under attack mode isn’t working, maybe try a firewall rules set to “challenge”.

Hi @bqt.ctt, Every attack has different patterns of behavior, and to protect your site you’d have to try to figure out what patterns may be limited or blocked by which Cloudflare tool. You would increase your chances of getting meaningful suggestions from volunteers in this community if you could share a sample of your origin server access logs, so that we can have a look and perhaps suggest the most appropriate tools to use.
