I cannot access cloudflare account info… I can’t even upgrade to business account for better custoer service I have opened two tickets. Both of them were briefly answered: we cannot discuss this domain because you do not own it, we have closed the ticket. I have the initial emails confirming when I made the first connection with cloudflare - the domain name and email address is the same.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

opened ticket and explained to customer support. response from support is essentially: case closed, you do not own this domain. I do own it. I have always owned it. I don’t know where to go toprove this and get the help I need to connect google workspace so I can have an email on my domain.

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

The domain shows as purged in the account you are using here and there are a number of different cloudflare nameservers associated with the account, https://securitytrails.com/domain/beverlyjolynn.com/history/ns

If the domain is yours, I suspect it expired at some point and was purchased by someone else or someone gained access to your registrar account (is that godaddy?) and changed the nameservers. If it is the later, you should be able to add it back to the account you are using here and contact godaddy to change the nameservers to the two assigned in your account.

Thank you for this.

Purged - is that the same as deleted?

The domain hasn’t ever expired. I e owned it all the way through and it has been active as in alive (not busy) for my business.

When you say “you should be able to add it back to the account you are using here”, how could I do that when I don’t have access?

Cloudflare is saying (even though I am getting emails from them re my account) that I cannot discuss my account with them because my email isn’t associated with my domain anymore, someone else’s is. —— so that does make it feel like someone else has accessed it possibly —— but they won’t tell me the new email AND it is still true that I get emails from them re my account as recently as 6 weeks ago.

Appreciate you joining me in thinking this through. Any ideas on how to proceed?

A while after Cloudflare has detected that the domain does not run with the correct name servers, according to the set up on your account, a domain will move it’s status to deleted.

In the deleted state, you can still “regret” it within 7 days, by changing the name servers back.

Once it’s purged, it’s gone for good, including any settings/configurations you may have (had) attached to it.

Your domain registrar is Go Daddy, -

If we’re playing with the thought, that I gained access to your Go Daddy account, I would then have the ability to “move” your domain name over to my Cloudflare account.

Once I attempt to add your domain name to my account, I am being presented with a set of name servers, and with access to the account on your domain registrar (Go Daddy), I’m able to perform the change of name servers, which will move you domain name to my Cloudflare account.

Security.

If it’s moved to my account, - you do not have any authority over my account.

If you do happen to have 3 different Cloudflare accounts yourself, and you’re just logged in to the wrong one though, - you should be able to find the right account yourself.

Dig through your archives.

Verify whether you have multiple Cloudflare accounts, such as e.g. (accidentally) registered both “[email protected]”, “[email protected]” and/or “[email protected]”, and are simply logged in to the wrong account.

Verify whether your Go Daddy account has been compromised, and someone is playing games with you.

It seems like you eventually may have had steady name servers for 5 months between January through June, - however, in June they were changed, as well as apparently multiple times during July.

Latest change of name servers may have been around 2024-07-22, which seem to get to a close match, with the ~ 6 weeks interval you mentioned.
