Changing CLOUDFLARE credentials Unknown Wemaster created

An old webmaster (not sure who) has registered my website on Cloudflare. Not sure when. I do not have log in credentials. I would like to take my site back and register with my own credentials on Cloudflare. Any advice is appreciated. PS. I have tried to find the webmaster that may have done this without success.

Also, I filed a ticket with Cloudflare and they are unwilling to share the Cloudflare credentials with me since I don’s have account access. Essentially, someone has stolen my web site.

Hi @mjpetro, actually, the team is unable to share that information, for your protection, we can only work with the account owner.

This same situation has been reported here and a quick :search: will find this set of suggestions.

Ideally, you can locate the person that put your site behind Cloudflare, that is the easiest path to ensure you can access and control the domain in your account. Other options, do you know the someone that you mentioned and can you connect with them? That is the best route. But, seems you are unsure of the vendor that did the work, so other options follow.

Short of knowing and contacting the person, you’ll have no easy option but to add the domain to an account you can control, like the one you are using here. After that, contact your domain registrar and change the nameservers to the two in the new account that you control.

If narrowing down the timeframe of when the site was added to cloudflare will help identify the vendor, you can use the history function of public sites like to narrow down when the nameservers were changed/site added to cloudflare. That may help you to figure out who was working on the site around that time.

Short of that, the following links may help, note that they only work when logged out. These will generate an email to the account holder and may spur them to reach out to you if you are unsure of the name of the person. I suspect #3 is the option to start with from what you have described.

  1. If you know the email:
  2. If you know the email and have 2FA issues:
  3. If you don’t know the email:

Post back and let us know how it’s going.
