CF-Cache-Status - Expired

I just started caching with Cloudflare, but if I check next day, most of my images are being expired.

If I:

curl -I https://example.com/file.jpg

First time it will result in a MISS, next time it will be a HIT. Same thing with metrix tests. First time it will MISS but HIT the next test.

BTW I have a cron job that runs every hour which hits the HOME PAGE, so the site is being accessed once an hour.

Expired means we had the item in cache, but the specified life of the item had been exceeded so we retrieved it from cache. I’m not sure if there is a question you’re asking:

https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200168266-What-do-the-various-Cloudflare-cache-responses-HIT-Expired-etc-mean-

The specific time is at least 1 month, check .htacces file. Yet I see that it changes to EXPIRED after a day.

MISS comes up as well after a while. I have to do the test again to get a HIT and for the cache to HIT. Then after a while it shows MISS again, and if I test further in time, it will probably again get back to EXPIRED.

I’m not using any Page Rules and I’m not caching HTML.
