__cf_bm Cookie is provided by Coingecko.com instead of cloudfare

Hello everyone,
I’ve created a website where a found that __cf_bm cookie which I’ve read that is given by cloudfare, was given by .coingecko.com instead. I would like to know what is hapening as I have nothing to do with coingecko.

Thank you for your time.

Is there some reason you think this has something to do with your site, and not just you visiting that other site in your browser and therefore having the cookie?

According to this site: Cookie Declaration
this is a Cookie to differenciate between bot and human.

Name Provider Purpose Expiry Type
__cf_bm Cookiebot Zendesk This cookie is used to distinguish between humans and bots. This is beneficial for the website, in order to make valid reports on the use of their website. 1 day HTTP Cookie

Just guessing, but bm could stand for botmanagement. Do you have any of these bot management features/options enabled?

I Just use cloudfare, not using any other system like the one you mention.

I’ve checked with many devices and also with cookie checkers online. It always shows the same :frowning:

What is your site?

Could you please post a screenshot from these sections of your dashboard?

  1. https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/security/settings
    and
  2. https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/security/bots/configure

Thanks!

Hello!

Thanks for your help

Would you mind turning this to:

Security Level: Low
Challenge Passage: 1 Day
Browser integrity Check: Off
Privacy Pass Support: Off

After this inform us here, that it is done.

Well, your site is loading assets from coingecko. For example, the bitcoin logo.

Hello, I dissabled those settings.

Hello, I tried removing them but does’t seem to dissapear, all the data except the image is loaded from my database.

The bitcoin.png image you are loading from assets.coingecko.com is setting this cookie:

If you don’t want this cookie, load the image from your own domain or somewhere that doesn’t set this cookie.
