Cert Hostname DOES NOT VERIFY

I was trying to link my cPanel email to Gmail and I got error saying it can’t connect to my server. So I’ve tried to see what that means and I thought to check if my email server was set up correctly.

Did a TLS test for my mail server and got that warning about CERT:
Cert VALIDATION ERROR(S): self signed certificate
So email is encrypted but the recipient domain is not verified
Cert Hostname DOES NOT VERIFY (dc-STRINGNUMBER.domain.com != cpanelSTRINGNUMBER.host.com | DNS:cpanelSTRINGNUMBER.host.com)
So email is encrypted but the host is not verified

I literally don’t understand anything from this.

So let me be more clear:

  • domain(.)com - is my domain
  • host(.)com - is my host provider domain

I have so many question about this.

Why the hostname for my MX record is dc-STRINGNUMBER.domain.com when my MX record (in both cPanel and Cloudflare) are going to mail.domain.com?
And why the second hostname (cpanelSTRINGNUMBER.host.com) is poiting to my host provider domain and not mine?

These are the following DNS records:

Type - Name - Content
A - mail - IP
A - domain.com - IP
MX - domain.com - mail.domain.com

You get that “dc” hostname because a mail-related hostname is set to :orange:. Specifically, mail.example.com. You need to click on the :orange: and edit that entry so it’s :grey:.
