I am very new to this and am using Cloudfalre for the first time. I am monitoring performance with gtmetrix. When looking at the CDN performance on yslow under analysis options is asks you to enter a CDN hostanme for more accurate results, as explained I am very new to this could someone help me and tell me where I can find this information.

, then the CDN domain is your own, so just add your domain (or its subdomain that you are testing) there and it will be fine.
