So, I need to allow another Cloudflare domain to CNAME to my Cloudflare domain, and the wonderful Cloudflare documentation says to notify support of the domains you wish to allow to CNAME to yours… Yet I can not contact support… Im on a free tier… so i cant open tickets, and I have no path but to the community here… There is no reason a free account isn’t allowed to allow a paid account to cname to them but I have no way to request it… any ideas?
Do you have a link to this documentation?
I assume it’s in relation to the CNAME cross-user ban but I’ve not seen that note about contacting support for awhile, using SSL for SaaS is the recommended approach now.
oh boy, ill have to dig into my browser history… let me find it.
It used to be on https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029779472-Troubleshooting-Cloudflare-1XXX-errors#error1014 but it was removed and instead SSL for SaaS was the only solution going forward.
maybe i found a cache of an original… all i can seem to find now is references to it in this forum… boo…
that sucks… Thanks, would have upgraded for the ability to allow this… but i’m just a drop in the bucket. thanks for the response…
SSL for SaaS has 100 free hostnames so your target account should be easily able to set it up - or if you control it, even easier.
