I have 2 MX records im trying to update that both have a period “.” at the end (using icloud) of the URL, but when I save the record the period automatically goes away, on iClouds end it’s not updating me and it keeps telling me I to double check the spelling of my MX record, which i know is misspelled.
What feature, service or problem is this related to?
Log in to wherever your domain name is registered. Find in their dashboard where you change the nameservers. Change them to the 2 that Cloudflare is asking you to set them to.
However, it seems no Cloudflare nameservers are resolving for the domain so make sure you have selected a plan, even if Free, on the domain overview page in your Cloudflare dashboard. Ensure the domain status in the bar at the top changes from “Complete setup” to “Invalid nameservers”. When you have set the nameservers at your registrar, it will change to “Active”.
Another question, I’ve never use Turbify so idk how i would log in and make the changes i need. Does this mean someone else owned this domain in the past?
Have you just added this domain to Cloudflare and not registered it? Adding the domain does n’t register the domain, you need to own the domain if you want to add the domain on Cloudflare. If the Turbify domain registration and nameservers are nothing to do with you then this domain is already owned by someone else.
I have an update, and it (almost) all make sense. So first of all, I submitted the wrong domain in this request. The CORRECT domain is hiveandhoneySOLUTIONS.com
My follow up is, now that I know we were looking at the wrong domain. I still need to know why this wasn’t working in the first place, if I don’t have to include the period?
Okay, so I’ve double checked everything, and corrected a couple things, like the DKIM Host, and also the proxy status. I’ve double checked for any extra spaces, and I’m copy pasting everything exactly. I am still not getting approval from iClouds end. Please advise.
