Can't reach email server after enabling CloudFlare

I have cloud flared my site which is hosted on GoDaddy and configured the following DNS records:

MX - domain.com - mail.domain.com - 1 hr - DNS only
A - mail - server IP - Auto - Proxied

I’m receiving emails in the cPanel web client, but I’m getting a connection timeout in my Apple Mail Client. I’ve tried changing the incoming and outgoing server from domain.com to mail.domain.com but that doesn’t change anything. When I pause CloudFlare and change the name servers back to GoDaddy the email addresses in my Apple Mail Client all of a sudden work again. I’ve also tried changing the mail A record from Proxied to DNS only but that also gives the same result.

It’s supposed to be :grey: DNS Only.
