We changed the DNS NS records of our domain to point to Cloudflare and dig confirms that. MXToolbox reported that the authoritative nameserver was different so we asked to change the SOA record as well to set brenda as authoritative. However, despite all efforts Cloudflare still can’t take over our domain and mxtoolbox still report a problem with the authoritative nameserver (I can’t seem to be able to post link but you can do a DNS check on mxtoolbox for generalgas dot it).
Any suggestion on what should we do to fix this and allow Cloudflare to control DNS?
You need to update your nameservers at your registrar, not in your current DNS provider.

Thanks @cscharff, the registrar and current DNS provider is the same entity, I would have thought they knew what they were doing but it looks like they didn’t. I’ll contact their support again.
Thanks again,
Fulvio
