I have moved a bunch of sites over to the Cloudflare Registrar.
Some of these were forwarding to ClickFunnels sites using Page Forwarding rules. And one was forwarding to my main site (that isn’t on Clickfunnels) robscott.com.
Now I’m trying to point all the domains that were pointing to ClickFunnels to instead forward to my main site robscott.com instead. I’ve copied the Page Rule for the site that is working, backtobreath.com, as exactly as I can, but none of the new forwarding rules are working (again, except the original backtobreath.com that was working all along).
Here is the site and the rule that is forwarding properly:
I had fundamentalshift.com exactly like that, but after watching the tutorial tried changing it to the below image, thinking maybe it required an A record (backtobreath.com doesn’t have one, but I thought I’d try anyway). Here’s how they are set now:
I made these changes early yesterday, and the old forwarding is still happening, but there’s no rule anymore to do it. I’ve cleared cache at Cloudflare. But here’s a pic of where fundamentalshift.com is forwarding still (the old site at Clickfunnels that’s now turned off):
You have to ask Clickfunnels to completely remove your domain from their Cloudflare configuration. They know how to do this, but you may have to escalate until you find the right person.
I spent a long time on with support about this. They sent me to heroku.com to “release” the domains. Signing up there did nothing. Heroku said nothing needed to be done. Back to Clickfunnels support, and now they are escalating the ticket, with no timeline promised on resolution (said by them multiple times). Again, domains are fully registered at Cloudflare. I have access to and have changed all DNS records. Any other ideas on how this is happening, and what I could do to get free of Clickfunnels? Basically now five or six of my best product brands all point to the Clickfunnels homepage. Not sure how this happened.
Using someone else’s Cloudflare integration is always risky. Especially when they don’t take care of their customers (or former customers). Cloudflare can fix this, but it won’t be as fast as your host should take care of it.
Please email [email protected] with the subject Cannot remove custom host name and details of the issue. Once you’ve done that you’ll receive an automatic response with a ticket number. Please post that here so we can escalate it. Once you have reached out to Support they will ask you to verify domain ownership of the domain by adding a txt record to the domain in order to verify domain ownership.
