What is the issue you’re encountering
We’re trying to just add this zone into Cloudflare, but it’s telling us there is a hold at the registrar, who isn’t aware of any hold.
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
We’ve contacted the registrar as suggested, and they say there’s no ‘holds’ of any kind, except the obvious transfer hold (you cannot transfer .edu domains from their registrar because it’s a highly controlled TLD, which is fine), but that it shouldn’t prevent us from adding a domain on Cloudflare, creating DNS records, and pointing nameservers.
What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
Not sure if it can be reproduced - other .edu domains registered at the same registrar have been successfully added to the same account on Cloudflare without issue, so it is domain-specific, from what we can tell.
