Can't add edu.eu.org domain

I try to add a edu.eu.org’s domain to my account, and I’m sure that I set NS and SOA record, but Cloudflare also tell me that not a registered domain, so what should I do

You set them to what? The domain should be working before you add it to Cloudflare. Once Cloudflare accepts it as a registered domain, you will receive instructions on what DNS changes to make.

@sdayman Now I’m using he.net to get NS and SOA record. Our domain is hmu.edu.eu.org, you can check it

Hey,

The issue is due to edu.eu.org being the root domain and your being granted a subdomain of that. Cloudflare doesn’t currently allow subdomains to be added without the root.

@powelljl edu.eu.org is selectable suffix from eu.org’s registrar, you can find it in Open domains and policies (nic.eu.org). So, should hmu.edu.eu.org seen as tsinghua.edu.cn

edu.eu.org is on the Public Suffix List so I’m pretty sure that is not the issue.

It has a name server, but no DNS records. So I’m pretty sure you don’t have a website yet. At least add some “A” records for the root domain and ‘www’ with a placeholder IP address like 192.0.2.1

@sdayman I think you do not understand my problem. Now I want to add a domain to my account, which has NS and SOA record to show that it’s a valid domain. When I try to add it, Cloudflare’s system tell me this domain is not a registered domain.

I do understand. This happens frequently. That’s why I said the domain should be working before you add it. Cloudflare isn’t recognizing it as a valid domain. Here’s more information on what usually causes this, including a lack of DNS entries:

I had add a A record to my domain in he.net, and it is available on Cloudflare’s DNS server. But it not work, I still get not a registered domain

Those “A” records are just now starting to propagate. When I posted, they weren’t showing up yet.

@sdayman I’m here again, I still can’t add this domain now.

@MoreHelp

I can confirm that DNS has propagated, yet the “not a registered domain” issue persists.
