Can't add a payment method no matter what!

Unfortunately, I can’t seem to add a payment method to my Cloudflare account, which is quite dissapointing especially when Customer Support doesn’t exist.

As a new customer planning to upgrade from a free to a paid plan, I’ve encountered significant difficulties in adding any payment method. These obstacles have made the process exceptionally cumbersome, to the extent that I’m unable to add a payment method at all. Additionally, I’ve consistently experienced issues with the Captcha feature, which is frustrating considering that we’re in 2023, and these problems should have been resolved by now. This gives the impression that Cloudflare’s system may still rely on outdated methods.

The error message “Try again. The response to the CAPTCHA challenge is invalid. (Code: 1294)” constantly appears as a red banner at the bottom of the page, disappearing after a few seconds. Despite attempting the Captcha multiple times and employing various troubleshooting techniques like switching browsers, using incognito mode, and even changing my IP address on my phone, none of these attempts have proven successful. Moreover, I have ensured that no ad-blockers are active in any of the browsers I’ve used. Unfortunately, I’m at a loss as to what could be causing these issues.

I’m left wondering if it’s still possible to add a payment method to become a paying customer, or if this feature has been discontinued. Regrettably, I’m beginning to suspect the latter.

If any fellow Cloudflare users could provide assistance, it would be greatly appreciated. Since customer support seems to be non-existent and lacking in quality at this company, I am hopeful that other users may be able to offer guidance and solutions.

Welcome to the Cloudflare Community. :logodrop:

Questions about billing will need to be resolved by the Customer Support team and cannot be resolved on the Community.

To contact the billing team, please submit a new support request from your Cloudflare account directly through the Cloudflare dashboard. Visit https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/support and choose Billing. Please share your ticket number here so that we can track it.

Thanks @epic.network for your prompt response here.

As previously stated, Customer Support is non-existent, so attempting to contact them again would be useless, pointless. I’ve not received any help from them whatsoever.

Any other suggestions to get a hold of someone helpful, respectful and knowledgeable?

  • Thanks & Regards.

Did you get a ticket number when you submitted your billing support request in the dashboard? If you share the ticket number here, billing support will respond. It will most likely be after the weekend. If you don’t yet have a ticket number, please obtain one from your Cloudflare dashboard and share it here so that the request can be escalated.

Hello again @epic.network ,

I wanted to inform you that I have finally managed to add a payment method to my account after several attempts. It took me more than 20 tries to find a suitable option that worked seamlessly. I must admit, I went through a humorous journey, trying out various cards, including Amex, Visa, MasterCard, and even different Credit/Debit cards. Ultimately, I resorted to using PayPal, which fortunately worked without any issues.

However, I would like to bring to your attention the recurring inconveniences I’ve experienced while using your website. It feels like I’m transported back in time, reliving the struggles of a decade ago due to the constant problems, bugs, interruptions, and so on. I believe it’s crucial for your team to investigate these issues, as they undoubtedly affect the overall user experience.

I value the services and products your website offers, but the recurring technical hurdles are starting to impact my satisfaction. I believe that addressing these issues promptly will not only enhance my experience but also contribute to improving the reputation and reliability of your platform.

I appreciate your attention to this matter, and thank you for your understanding and support.

It pleases me to learn that you were able to successfully register a payment method.

Cloudflare is not actually my website. I do protect the contact form on my website with Cloudflare Turnstile, but I am just another Cloudflare user like you. That said, Cloudflare does want to hear about the things that would improve your experience using their platform if you are interested in sharing.
