Can't add 4th level domain in .us

What is the name of the domain?

ci..wi.us or vil..wi.us

What is the issue you’re encountering

Cloudflare wants me to register and authenticate the third level .wi.us but that is not the registered domain.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I have contacted GoDaddy support who administers the .us domain and was advised I cannot register the third level domain directly.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Attempting to add any city/town/village that follows the naming format of vil/ci/town...us

Is the third level on the Public Suffix list?

It appears it is not. However wi.us is listed. I have updated my ticket with GoDaddy .us support to see about getting it included. I don’t expect that to go well or quickly.

I think I read somewhere that due to the very large number, it was decided not to add the cities/towns of [state].us to the PSL. I believe support can add your domain due to this if you raise a support ticket.
