What is the name of the domain?
What is the issue you’re encountering
I can’t view my open support case in My Activities.
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
Researching to see if others had the same problem. Which seems to be common.
What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
Saw that 1 case in Support had an updated. Clicked My Activities, got redirected to “Cannot locate dashboard account” help doc page instead.
Sorry for the issues with that, the team is aware of the problem and working to fix it. Until they do, you can communicate with the team via email. Search your email by ticket number, 01629275 is your ticket number.
To update a DNS record, go to the record, go to https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/dns and select edit next to the record you want to change. The 172. IP address is a cloudflare IP, your record will have the IP of your origin server. We mask that IP to protect your origin. Even after you update it to the correct IP, the 172. IP address is what will be shown in public. That is the expected behaviour.
There is no email to communicate. The sender was notifications@cloudflare.
Also, this domain should not be under cloudflare. I never made a cloudflare account with this domain. This domain never came from Cloudflare so I don’t know why it’s pointing to it all of a sudden.
Can you go here, https://securitytrails.com/ and check the history on the domain? Can you share the name of the domain here?
It seems a member of our team whose email was previously on the Bluehost account forgot to renew the expired domain we had. Thats why support initially thought that it was owned through another host. Instead, it was bought up by GoDaddy, and now they are attempting to send me through a Broker Service to pay to get it back. So it seems thanks to the account person never notifying of the expiration, we just lost the domain. So it’s not a cloudflare issue anymore.
