I followed all the recommendations and when trying to set up a free account it keeps giving the message “Refer to for assistance. The zone you are trying to upgrade is marked as Do Not Upgrade. (Code: 1315)” and asks me to open a ticket here. and you respond with a link to open a new ticket. Should I keep opening infinite tickets as you suggest or is there a way for you to just set the domain as free and get me out of this spiral?

You don’t open a ticket here in the Community. You open it from your Cloudflare account dashboard. You only need to open one. For the issue you described, it will need to be opened as a billing ticket. If you have already opened a billing ticket, you do not need to open another, as it will only slow things down for everyone. The support workload is higher than usual right now and response is likely to be delayed, so patience will be helpful.


I have all the patience in the world. Could you tell me how to open a “charge ticket” please? it is very confusing to get help from cloudflare. Where is the “charge ticket” opening, please?

From the Support menu, select Contact Cloudflare.


Then make the appropriate selections.
