Can you try using paypal and see if you get a diffierent error message?

The transaction went ahead with PayPal, but I want to set up recurring payments up with my debit card and not with PayPal as this is a workaround.

As paypal worked, I suspect you are being impacted by country-specific regulations regarding payment type. Where are you located?

I am located in India and the payment works with other vendors (with same debit card) that have similar payment way setup e.g. Namecheap.

Thank you, I suspected so, credit card failures and paypal success are good indicators of issues. I am unsure about namecheap and how they side-step the RBI issues we encounter. I do know if you have set up an account using a credit card, the recurring monthly payment will fail due to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) restriction and you will receive a failed payment notification. This is happening with credit cards and for recurring payments only.

Yes you I agree with you on this one but does the Cloudflare team has any solution for this one as I trust my Debit card provider more than PayPal.
PayPal is just an additional step for payment in this case if payment can be made using the Debit card.
Alternatively, is there any option to pay one time(non-reoccurring) and sent a reminder for next payment inside Cloudflare dashboard. If not, are you guys open to implementing that option?
