Cannot see the Deploy button to upgrade to new WAF managed rules

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

The following URL says, “When you are done reviewing, select Deploy to deploy the new WAF Managed Rules configuration.”

We cannot see any Deploy button on the page.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Go to WAF > Managed Rules > Review configuration

Sorry, not sure where to edit my post. We are on the Business plan, if that helps.

Again, my apologies, as I have been given further information.

We need to do this so we can presumably see the Add Exception Button, as shown in the attached screenshot.

We look after a few websites. The one in the attached screenshot appears to have been upgraded to the new WAF rules, and we can see this button. We cannot see this button on the other sites that I mentioned in the original post.

Thanks, and sorry for the multiple posts!

To see Add exception, you must be on the new version of WAF. In order to migrate, you need to click Review configuration first, but I believe there might be a frontend problem with this flow right now.

I’ve alerted the team, but you can try upgrading using API in the meantime.

The Review configuration button in the dashboard should be fixed now. Could you please try again after clearing browser cache?

Hi @ncano. Thank you so much for your help - we can now see the Deploy button.

Thanks again!

Hi @ncano . I was just asked to ask you what would happen if we do not deploy the new WAF rules.

Is there a timeframe when something may happen we need to be aware of?

Thanks again!

Sorry, @ncano—this is a post of continual questions! We have deployed the new version, but we now need to edit a managed rule from the previous version. How do we access these previous-version managed rules?

Thank you so much for your help on this or anyone else who can provide answers.

I would check WAF Managed Rules migration · Cloudflare Web Application Firewall (WAF) docs for the most up-to-date timeline on the sunsetting of the previous version of WAF.

As for the editing the rule from the previous version, are you sure that this rule triggered on a request after you upgraded your WAF version? If it keeps happening, you can disable old WAF completely using zone settings API: Managed Rules (previous version) are blocking access - #2 by ncano.
