What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I signed up for Cloudflare using my Google account and then tried to set up 2FA, but it requires me to enter a password — which I don’t have because I used Google SSO and never set one. I also tried to set a password through the “change password” page, but it asks for my current password (which doesn’t exist) and says “A password reset code is required. Please use the code provided in the email we sent you.” — but I haven’t received any such email (neither in my inbox nor spam).

How can I set a password so that I can proceed with 2FA setup?

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  • Sign up via Google
  • Try to set up 2FA which asks for a non-existent password
  • Try to “reset” password but it also asks for a non-existent password and says “Please use the code provided in the email we sent you” but this email never received.

OK I managed to reset it by logging out and then clicking the “forgot my password” button to make it send me a pwd reset email. I hope this helps anyone with the same problem.
