Cannot receive email

Can send but cannot receive emails. i tried changing the POP mail server for the pop3 to (direct server) from, but it failed would not allow.

What exact error code(s)/message(s) do you see?

The Proxy status for this host name is Proxied (:orange:), switch it to Unproxied (:grey:) / DNS-only.

Same should be applied to anything like pop, imap, smtp, and other non-HTTP related DNS record(s).

Your MX record(s) are handled by, so unless they are forwarding messages to you, you would need instructions, such as e.g. the SMTP and IMAP/POP mail server information from them.

Some changes I would implement for your domain:

  1. Delete the DMARC record on your naked domain name, with this content:
    β†’ β€œv=DMARC1; p=reject; rua=mailto:[email protected]”

  2. Change the DMARC record you have on the β€œ_dmarc” label, to this content:
    β†’ β€œv=DMARC1; p=reject; rua=mailto:[email protected];”

  3. Delete the SPF record that is referencing your own domain name:
    β€œv=spf1 +all”

  4. Change the content of the remaining SPF record, to this content:
    β€œv=spf1 ip4: -all”

Thanks for that.

There is no GNS record in CF for There is an A record for mail, that is all

That A record named mail is Only the part to the left of you apex domain is shown on the list. If you expect to use that hostname for email, you need to first set it to :grey: DNS Only.

There is no DNS record in CF for that . There is an A record for mail, that is all.
Also no pop imap or smtp, only these.

Email is working ok now with the c1106647 url in the email app as the email server, do you still recommend the MX record changes you listed?

You definitely should fix the four numbered items that @DarkDeviL listed.

If you aren’t going to use the mail hostname in any email applications and your hosted spam filter isn’t trying to deliver to it by that name, you can leave it proxied or even delete it.

If your mail is being delivered correctly through you don’t need to change the MX records.
