We are having an issuing receiving all emails. We are able send emails but cannot receive.
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
We changed the MX records that the Google team suggested we change. Those changes solved the issue, but not entirely as we cannot receive all emails still.
The MX records are currently pointing to Google, to the exact MX records that Google are recommending at this time.
So, that part looks okay.
The error code “550 5.1.1” is referring to fact, that the receiving mail server claims that the email account you’re sending to (e.g. “john.doe” for “[email protected]”) does not exist.
So first of all, I would suggest to check for typo’s / spelling mistakes, such as e.g. “jon.doe” or “jhon.doe” instead of “john.doe” .
If that doesn’t lead anywhere, you will then need to research the problem with Google, such as e.g. why they are returning “550 5.1.1” to people sending messages your way, if the email account(s) actually do exist, according to the Google Workspace control panel.
