Cannot Decode Raw Data

I have been experiencing my website not loading with with various browsers due to “cannot decode raw data.” The hosting company researched issues and determined it’s likely a propagation issue with cloudflare. I’m wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and possible solution.

Can you screenshot this error or provide the full error text? That’s too vague to determine if it’s something caused by CF.

This is your error, your server’s gzip encoding is broken somehow. It’s either not compressing the entire page or closes a H2 stream too early. Not sure what could be causing this but you should contact your host.

curl -v -H "accept-encoding: gzip, deflate, br"

< content-encoding: gzip
>var cnArgs = {"ajaxUrl":"https:\/\/\/wp-admin\/admin-ajax.php","nonce":"b15428393e",* transfer closed with 192 bytes remaining to read
* stopped the pause stream!
* Connection #0 to host left intact
curl: (18) transfer closed with 192 bytes remaining to read

But, that’s not all. You’re not even using Cloudflare’s proxy, so this is indeed a problem with your server, not Cloudflare:

If you want CF to DDOS protect and service your website, the DNS records for your website need to have an orange cloud next to them in the CF dashboard.

Hi Judge!

Thank you so much for the help! I determined with the hosting company that it was a specific plugin causing the root problem. It simply needed to be deactivated and reinstalled.
