What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

I’m trying to add a subdomain on my own domain to a new R2 bucket. I had previously used this subdomain on a now-deleted R2 bucket and the subdomain is not in my domain’s DNS settings. When I click “Connect Domain” I get We encountered an internal error. Please try again. (Code: 10001) and the browser console shows Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error). It would be great not to have a limitation on using domains with R2 buckets.

Unable to add custom domain to new R2 bucket

Hi everyone. Apologies for the delay. We had an incident a 2 days ago impacting custom domains and released a fix. There was a very small subset of customers we needed to remediate after the incident that attempted to create domains during the incident time that needed correction. This process is complete and custom domains should be working as expected. Please reach out if you’re seeing otherwise.
