Can you enable O2O for my @ A record which points to Shopify

What is the name of the domain?

What is the error message?

Target 23.227.38.32 is not allowed for a proxied record.

What is the issue you’re encountering

I need to point Cloudflare to my Shopify website

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I have set up Cloudflare to manage my DNS and tried to enable proxy on @

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

DNS records

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Toggle proxy to on state

EDIT:

Following the instructions outlined here

This still does not work, I get the error:

Target richter-phillips-jewelers.myshopify.com. is not allowed for a proxied record.

A passing staff member may enable this for you, or you can raise a support ticket.

Once enabled, note that for O2O to work and pass requests through your account, rather than just proxy the records, you must use only Shopify’s CNAME, not A or AAAA records in your Cloudflare DNS.

I’ve set up the CNAME - I assume it should be the Shopify URL and not shops.myshopify.com but please correct me if I am wrong (it was taking the website down if I set this up with shops and it wasn’t proxied, which I couldn’t enable).

Tagging @dmartin1 @zakri since they were involved in the resolution on similar posts. I greatly appreciate any help with this.

As in the Cloudflare guide, it should be shops.myshopify.com.

Awesome, the second time I tried pointing to shops.myshopify.com it worked fine so everything is configured correctly. Still can’t proxy traffic.

Hi there!

It looks like Shopify O2O is currently enabled on this zone, though I do not know how recently that was set.

Please let us know if you’re still facing issues with this, and we’ll be happy to follow up.
