When we set up cloudflare DNS, we were assigned a random nameserver. Is it possible to change name servers?
(We are located in Colombo, and I noticed that Cloudflare has servers in Colombo, Sri Lanka).
Name servers, like all other Cloudflare servers, use Anycast network and are replicated at every datacenter. Requests will be routed to the nearest datacenter.
How are you detecting the location of your name servers?

Bloomwire is using Cloudflare’s Desi and Doug name servers. As I said, they use Anycast, so those requests go to the closest data center.
