hello i’m trying to deploy disqus comment system on my website but all request rom disqus is blocked by bot fighter
An ip access list should address that
I searched for “ip access list” this is the best thread
Just to add a note as I am also using Disqus on a WordPress website, they might appear as some challenged or blocked firewall events at CF dashboard.
I can see some as:
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; https://disqus.com) DisqusAdstxtCrawler/0.1 (+https://help.disqus.com/en/articles/1765357-ads-txt-implementation-guide) dproxy/1.0 (+https://disqus.com/humans.txt) 184.108.40.206 AS14618 AMAZON-AES
However, if any of those request are being challenged or blocked, you could find more details about which service did they trigger and got that result in the Cloudflare dashboard → WAF → Overview for the past 24hours or so. Once you find them, click on a particular one to find more details about it (user-agent, IP, HTTP version …).
Nevertheless, it might be that you’d have to find a way to either allow/whitelist the IPs or the IP range, or even the ASN which isn’t really the best scenario to do so if there would be some “bad actors” which would abuse their network/servers and then send harmful requests to your website which wouldn’t be triggered at all and bypass in the WAF → Tools → IP Access Rules.
they use multiple ip addresses , i tried to allow anything to that url but it’s didn’t work the bot fighter mode still triged i ended temporary disabling it
