Can I use IP address of the server instead of Domain name

Hi,

Could someone please help explain if I can use my IP server address instead of the domain name to protect my servers from DDOS?

I don’t want to go through changing domain DNS configuration as it might impact my WebApp and MobileApp…

In order to use Cloudflare you do need a domain name. An IP address alone won’t work.

Unless you’d be looking at something like Magic Transit, but in that case you’d be probably not asking the question on the forum.

You can keep a maintenance note of 30 minutes for your users and I’d prefer to schedule it at least traffic hours of your website
