Can I use Firewall security with DNS only?

I’m using Cloudflare for DNS only not DNS+CDN. because I use Netlify CDN.
but whenever I make changes in the dashboard I don’t see it affects the site.
is it a must to activate Cloudflare CDN to make use of the services provided in Firewall/Speed/Cashing etc…?
specifically, can I use Firewall security without Cloudflare CDN?

I suppose you could go through the Cloudflare dashboard and turn a bunch of stuff off, and use a Page Rule that will Match: *example.com/* and set Cache Level to Bypass.

All features only work on proxied :orange: records, the only thing you get with Grey cloud is DNS and DNS analytics.
