Can I tranfer a premium domain to Cloudflare

Hey,

I want to buy a premium domain, but at the moment Cloudflare registrar doesn’t let you do that.
Let’s say I want to buy the hello.tech domain (example). Can I buy the premium domain somewhere else where I can buy a premium domain and then transfer it to Cloudflare?

If you look at Transfer your domain to Cloudflare · Cloudflare Registrar docs, you’ll see that Cloudflare Registrar does not support premium domains, be it for registration or transfer.

• Your domain cannot be a premium domain as Cloudflare currently does not support them. Some registries designate a domain name as premium and charge higher wholesale rates for these domains. In most cases Cloudflare is able to identify premium (non-standard priced) domains during the transfer eligibility step. However, this check might fail. When this happens, Cloudflare will not be able to determine the domain’s premium status until the transfer is initiated.

You can still add the domain to Cloudflare, but you must use a different registrar.

Nothing special about premium names

Actually there is. Premium names are not the same as aftermarket sales of regular names, despite some people referring to such sales as premium names. The price of actual premium names designated by the registry, including renewal, is set by the registry, and it can change at any time. This is why they are not allowed in the Cloudflare registrar, whether it be a transfer or a new registration.
