What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Hello, I have a website that is with a cloudflare account of an IT person but is no longer contactable, so I cant login to edit or update the wordpress site. There are also DNS records for emails (with microsoft 365) and I am using these emails. Incidentally the website is showing a timeout error which was not before.

I want to move the website from their account, to my own account, and maintain email functionality.

My questions are:

  1. is it possible to migrate/move the website (wordpress) from their account to mine? If so, do I need to get the other person to do this? Or can I do this?

  2. In the moving process, will the email functionality be disrupted? I read that DNS settings can be exported, but when moving to new account, does this take hours to 48 hrs for this or something to propogate? I am familiar with moving from one host to another which we wait for nameserves to propogate to servers around the world, but not sure of what happens with moving from one cloudflare account to another…

Unfortunately, you left out the most important factor: the domain name!

Is the domain registered with Cloudflare? If not, do you have access to the domain registrar account to be able to change nameservers?
