Can email routing cause domain to lose reputation?

What is the issue you’re encountering

I have one email address, call it [email protected]. I want to route emails sent to that email address to my personal email [email protected]. If [email protected] gets flagged for spam (using it for outbound sales), will it hurt my personal email reputation?

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

In order to avoid issues, you should consider implementing authentication protocols. We suggest that you have proper SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records set up for your domain. This helps establish your domain’s legitimacy and can improve deliverability.

Another good practice is to avoid sending unsolicited emails. Only reach out to contacts who have opted in to receive communications from you. This practice can help maintain a positive reputation for your domain.

If you regularly monitor your email deliverability and reputation metrics, you’ll be able to notice a decline in deliverability or an increase in spam complaints. As a protective measure you can consider adjusting your email practices or switching to a more robust email service that allows better control over sending and receiving emails.
