Can Cloudflare DNS slow website speed? Yes or No?

Was wondering how the website of our website dropped a little bit after we move to Cloudflare DNS? Can this happen? Yes or No? Or is it being caused by some other issues?

This is our website. Anybody can look up for the issue?

Run your website through Measure page quality and it’ll show you what parts of your website are causing it to load slowly.

Sure, I will run this test. But is it possible that DNS can slow down the speed?

DNS? No. DNS is DNS.

If the record is proxied then it goes through Cloudflare which could impact the performance - but without knowing what the domain name, it’s impossible to give you any suggestions.

Thank you so much for your help. Yeah just playing Yes or No won’t be helpful. Here is the domain.

It doesn’t allow me to paste link here. How can I do that?

To post links as a new user you have to post it as code, not as a hyperlink.

About the DNS question: yes Cloudflare’s DNS could slow down your page but actually that is not the case, since Cloudflare’s DNS resolver is very well known for being the fastest public DNS resolver: DNS Performance - Compare the speed and uptime of enterprise and commercial DNS services | DNSPerf

So, compared to all other possibilities Cloudflare will speed up your site, even if you are using it in DNS Only mode.

Not sure, if this is the code you are talking about. I tried it.

Hope you can access the site now.

Your site uses Cloudflare and is proxied, you will benefit from all the benefits of the features you have enabled on your site.

Cloudflare’s DNS will improve the DNS lookup/resolve time for your domain and therefore even speed it up

Oh that’s great.
