Calls / TURN availability in China

According to the docs, the Calls / TURN functionality is not offered directly in China Available products and features · Cloudflare China Network docs

However, I have attempted to do so with a hope of resolving TURN servers into closest possible server. Unfortunately, the connection is unstable and has troubles with starting up the WebRTC session. I checked the logs and it looks like mostly US region is used to offer TURN services (for example 162.158.165.110).

When can we expect to have Calls up and working in China region or East Asia servers? I thought calls / turn services are available on the all servers, so any region closer to China than US should be used.

I’m also interested in SEA (South East Asia) servers.

Every server except for those in China offer TURN.

If you’re in China, your Chinese ISP unfortunately might route you to west coast United States due to anycast routing, which is outside of Cloudflare’s control.

If you’re in South East Asia, I’d expect you to connect to a Cloudflare server in your area.
