Cache with Static IP

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

trying to setup the cache rules

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  1. I connected to the internet using a static IP address on both my laptop and mobile phone.
  2. If I open a URL on my mobile device, it gets cached on the CF server.
  3. When I later open the same URL on my laptop, it delivers the cached mobile version instead of the desktop version.

This is impacting our user experience. Could you please assist in resolving this issue as soon as possible, or help us configure the cache settings accordingly?

Firstly, Cloudflare has several IP address ranges which are shared by all proxied hostnames. Together, these IP addresses form the backbone of our Anycast network, helping distribute traffic amongst various edge network servers.

Cloudflare does not provide static IPs on Free/Pro/Business plan. If you do not want to use Cloudflare IP addresses — which are shared by all proxied hostnames — Enterprise customers have two potential alternatives:

  • Bring Your Own IP (BYOIP) Bringing Your Own IPs to Cloudflare): Cloudflare announces your IPs in all our locations.
  • Static IP addresses: Cloudflare sets static IP addresses for your domain.

You can read more at Cloudflare IP addresses | Cloudflare Fundamentals docs.

Secondly, regarding the cache, please check if you turn on Cache By Device Type and are you using another other CDN? If possible, please share the a HAR file (Gathering information for troubleshooting sites | Cloudflare Support docs) demonstrating the issue.
