Cache Reserve locations

I understand Cache Reserve is fully automatic and stores the cached items “within Cloudflare”. Does it store them in a single instance closest to the origin, or does it synchronize them to global locations?

Even inside CF’s network, fetching something from a server 8000km away will take a while, so for global traffic you’re wise to enable load-balancing with geo/proximity-steering.
If you use Cache Reserve, will each region have separate Cache Reserves, or would a request from Canada check on the Cache Reserve that’s located in the EU before connecting to an origin in the US (closest origin)?

Can customers influence the Cache Reserve locations?
