I use Dubsado and am having problems connecting my domain. Here is what they told me: Dubsado utilizes a service called “letsencrypt. com” to issue our CNAME certifications for us. The domain “(my domain)” does not have a CAA record for “letsencrypt. com” which is needed in order for letsencrypt to issue a certification. In order for you to connect a CNAME with Dubsado, you’ll need to create a CAA record with the service called Letsencrypt. I would suggest reaching out to your domain provider to inquire how to obtain this CAA record first, before attempting to verify your CNAME with Dubsado."
Unless you already have a CAA record, this is not true, see What's a CAA record? - DNSimple Help.
As soon as you have created the CNAME record in question, Dubsado should be able to perform a HTTP-01 challenge
, see Challenge Types - Let's Encrypt.
