Browser Cache TTL previous value

Can I get to know what the previous value was for Browser Cache TTL? Current value is “Respect existing headers”.

We are using AWS Cloudfront and Cloudflare both. Last few months random end users from different geo locations somedays experience our site breaks whereas at the same time its working fine for others. This happens on different devices, browsers (even incognito or private) and local cache clearing does not help. Only when we invalidate AWS Cloudfront and purge cache at Cloudfront the issue gets resolved immediately.

There were no code changes during last few months when this started. So could the current Browser Cache TTL setting contribute to this issue and would that require any change?

The default setting for that value appears to be 4 hours. Which setting is the right one to choose depends on your personal preference and on your website.
