What is the issue you’re encountering

Website crashed due to cloudflare, no one had access to the cloudflare account so Hosting Provider said to fix it point the name servers and change the A record from our 3rd party registrar to the hosting provider

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

The day after we found the login access to the Cloudflare account and turned off all dns proxy and now the site works again. It should be still propagating though, should we change the name servers and A record back to cloudflare

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

Nameservers

The site is currently not using Cloudflare and is not working either. You need to contact your host.

What is the issue you’re encountering

Cloudflare crashed website after running a migration plugin. We had no access to the cloudflare account so we contacted the hosting company, Hostgator, they suggested pointing name servers away from Cloudflare and back to them through our 3rd party registrar. They also said to update the A record to their ip. We now have access to the cloudflare account and the site seemed to work for a split second when proxy was all grey. Is there anything else I should due to ensure that Cloudflare does not cause any more issues and what is the proper way to completely remove your site and dns from cloudflare.

Same advice still applies.
