Bot Fight Mode and upload files

I read under Bot Fight mode, that “Note: Defeating Bots may affect some actions on your website and/or non-automated traffic. For example, it may block access to your APIs and prevent access from mobile applications.”

does anyone know what kind of API access this can affect?

We noticed that on our website, some (not all) users started to complain they could not upload files (we use javascript) when we turned on this bot fight mode. Could that be a possible consequence of this?

let us know if anyone else has seen similar impact with uploading files and bot fight mode,

Bot fight mode surely delivers a very basic challenge to the visitors and if not passed, the request is denied.
If you want to be sure, disable this mode on the zones that cause issues to you
