Bot detection able to detect AppleScript automated Safari?

My team found an interesting article here claiming Cloudflare’s bot detection might be easily bypassed using Apple-centric scripting tools with Safari (e.g. AppleScript). The paper was published back in the summer. Any way to know if this has been dealt with? Seems like an easy way to scrape websites protected by Cloudflare.
