Hello, we’re expecting a lot of traffic due to a TV show this weekend. How can we anticipate and ensure that our site is not disrupted please? Thank you
Depending on the capacity of your host/origin, make sure you cache as much as possible to reduce requests to your origin.
Note what Cloudflare does not cache by default here as you may wish to cache HTML pages and so on if you are expecting a very high number of requests. You may want to remove that caching later when the traffic falls, or need to purge the cache if you update the site.
You may also want to extend the cache duration from hours to days, and enable tiered caching…
You can use Cache Reserve (or use R2 directly) to offload files to Cloudflare storage…
