Bluehost & IrishDomain configuration

Hello,

I’m not a techie so apologies in advance if my query is painfully obvious!

I run a site called https://stringtheories.ie/ and I’d like to use the Cloudflare CDN to improve site performance. I’m using Bluehost for hosting and my registrar is irishdomains. There is an option in Bluehost to point the server IP to Cloudflare, but the downside is the SSL cert I have won’t be valid (I read that here: https://my.bluehost.com/hosting/help/cloudflare).

So I’ve been trying to figure it out and I think I need to do the following to avail of the CDN and also have a valid SSL certificate:

  1. Change DNS servers on my registrar (irishdomains) with Cloudflare’s nameservers
  2. Tell cloudflare I’ve done this by checking “recheck” on the Cloudflare nameserver set-up page

And then I’m not sure? Do I need to tell Bluehost to change the server IP to point to the Cloudflare proxy IP?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you.
